Voting 2014

Last week Tuesday, just before the general elections, we organised our own voting. We thought that it would be great for the children to have an idea of what their parents would be doing the following day.

Each child from grade 1 to 3 used their homework book for an identity document. They queued outside the polling station (the reading room), had their names crossed off the ballot list and thumbs inked for extra security.

They then placed their important vote into ballot boxed to decide which snack was the favourite amongst the Junior Primary children.

The votes about to be counted!

The most popular snack was...with the majority
 of the votes....
POPCORN!

  1. Brilliant Idea .... Neha was so excited when she came with us to vote on Wednesday even though the lady told her that her name wasn't on the voters roll she still got the black mark on her thumb
