Before we started our round the world trip both grade two classes joined for a planning meeting, and as is customary before early morning meetings..we had a typical South African treat...rusks accompanied by a lovely cup of hot chocolate to dip them into! 
We then looked at the world map to plan our journey and discuss the areas we will be visiting. After that we used a map of South Africa and completed a worksheet based on it.
It was a lovely way to start our adventure and was a promise of many more fun learning experiences to come...starting on Friday!
