Purim fun

Today the children of Eden celebrated the Jewish festival of Purim. Purim is held every year, it is when the Jewish people celebrate their deliverance, thousands of years ago, from a massacre by Haman. It is a time of celebration where children dress up, this year the theme was 'Prince and Princesses of Persia'. The children looked good in their outfits.

Beautiful prince and princesses.
Having fun. These expressions
 speak for themselves!

many games on offer.
Once "captain" Rabbi Thurgood had explained the meaning of Purim to the prep school, and everybody had paraded their costumes, each child was given a delicious hamentashen to eat. After this they were treated to a variety of games, organised by the grade 6 pupils.

"Princess" Mrs Peens!

The hamentashens are delicious!

Can we eat them now please?
