Grade 2 authors.

In an effort to promote language and story writing, Gill and I have been doing a number of activities based on different kinds of stories for our Media Center. 


Last week we read The Wide Mouthed Frog by Ana Martin Larrañaga. We discussed the way the story was written, focusing particularly on descriptive words. Each child then wrote their own version of the story using animals from the THRASS chart. We were so happy with the results. The children were too, and  even more excited to be able to read their stories to the younger grades.
