Ooey,gooey, muck!

In the book "Bad Luck Duck", the duck gets stuck in the ooey, gooey mud. She asks for help, but only goose was prepared to rescue her.

We decided that it would be wonderful to make some ooey, gooey muck and write a poem about what it feels like.

Both grade 2 classes went into the hall where we made some "muck" using maizena, water and food colouring. The children had a wonderful time playing and experiencing the muck. This was evident when they had to come up with words to describe what it felt like. We had a tons of words.

After we had cleared up, it was back to class to write our poems. I was so delighted with the end results. They are now proudly displayed on our back wall for all to read.
