All about owls

The first week of our theme we spent learning all about owls before we begin reading our book 'The Owl who was Afraid of the Dark.'

We grouped our children into groups. Each group was given a different owl to research. They had to make a poster under the headings - location, Diet, Young, Appearance and Interesting facts. Once they had researched their owls, each group presented what they had learned to the class. I can really see how my class has grown in confidence and developed effective strategies for working in a group. Well done.
