In keeping with our learning about the characteristics of the Dead sea, we made salt crystals with our classes. They so enjoyed this activity, and were so pleased when they saw the end result.
We also did some experiments with salty water, demonstrating how the particles in the water become so much more dense when the salt is added - the reason why things float in very salty water.
We all had great fun making ice stick to a string - the children learnt how the salt makes the ice melt, but it quickly freezes again, making the ice stick to the string.
