Planting fun!

Jack and his beanstalk inspired us to go planting! The grade two's braved the heat to plant vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, radish, beetroot, spinach and cabbage.

It was fun, we grouped our classes into groups. Each group was responsible for putting in the soil, planting the seedlings in a pot and then watering. It was so wonderful to see the children getting stuck in so enthusiastically. For some it was the very first time they had planted anything.

We look forward to learning about plants next week, and of course watching the seedling grow so that we can make something delicious to eat in a few weeks time!

Happy planters

The JP passage looks wonderful,
the Grade 1 plants and the
Grade 2 veggies.

The end product, lets hope they survive!
