Jack and the beanstalk.

We started a new section of our "Growing Up" theme this week. By way of an introduction our focus was on the Jack and the Beanstalk story, an old favourite. 

On Thursday we divided our classes into groups so that we could make group books based on the story. Each child wrote a "chapter". They turned out so well. It was so rewarding for me to see how enthusiastic each group was of their book. They automatically grouped around and read it over and over! Real learning in action, a teachers dream! Each group then read their story to the class, they were so proud of themselves. We are going to ask Mrs Regaud to display them in the library for everyone to enjoy!
