This week we have been reading the book 'Another Mother' by Gill Eggleton. It tells of the adventure of a baby emu as it decides it wants another mother.This lead to a discussion on babies, and our decision to have a baby day tomorrow! But first we compared the differences between human and bird babies.
We divided our classes into groups. Each group was given pictures with corresponding sentences. The groups had to first, assign tasks to each member and then match the sentences to the pictures. With that done, they had to decide how to arrange and display the information in poster form. Finally each group had to decide on a heading for their poster.
It was interesting to watch the group dynamics! But as a first group activity I was pleased with my class and the end results.
