Big Business: Elephants

In this chapter Pim meets a baby Elephant. He learns that Elephants live in big families and not in holes like aardvarks. They don't need to worry about lions either because they are the King of the beasts.

Jenna and Jaden told us all about Indian elephants in their orals

and Cebo and Natalie taught us some interesting facts on African Elephants.

Gill and I decided to continue with adjectives, so we paired up our classes and got them to write descriptive poems.

We tried to get them to make their poems rhyme. It was a challenge , but with a little help we got some wonderful poems.

I typed them up and each child displayed theirs on an elephant that we made using paper plates. They really look good hanging up in the classroom.
