Our Pancake stall - a great success

Our pancake stall at the green fest was a great success. We were so busy the whole day. We kept making pancakes until we literally had nothing  left to sell. Thank you to those parents who worked at our stall and those who donated ingredients.

Our first lot of certificate winners

I was so pleased to be able to hand out certificates to all these children who did the most beautiful homework for a whole week. Keep it up!

Tons of Termites.

Pim asked his Mom to show him what termites were in the second chapter of our book. He learns that they are soft and juicy, but he still prefers mothers milk.

We made termite booklets where we wrote information about them. They are proudly on display at the back of the classroom.

The aardvark who wasn't sure

This term as you all know by now, we are reading the book The aardvark who wasnt sure by Jill Tomlinson. It is a delightful story about a new born aardvark who embarks on a voyage of discovery as he meets different characters in the African Veld.

Our back board really looks great, we have a picture of Pim and a termite mound which we made in groups. It was a great lesson in co-operation and team work.

Second term Catch up - Braai at paradise Valley

Braaing is an integral part of all South Africans lives. Megan and I took our classes to Paradise Valley where they lit their own fires and cooked their own food. We then took a walk to the waterfall before heading home.
It was a most successful outing that everyone enjoyed.
