Teach backs on frogs.

To finish off our mini theme on Frogs, inspired by the book Tiddalik the frog we did teach backs about different frogs.

I paired the children and gave each pair information on a different frog. They had to group the information under the following headings - Habitat, Diet, Appearance, Young and Interesting facts. Once they had done that they created a poster which helped them to present the information to the class.

I am so impressed at how confident they are getting. Most children are getting the idea that they only use the chart as a guide when talking and need to make eye contact with the class instead of reading off the information.
