Two weeks ago we read the story of Polly the pirate. There are fabulous adjectives and verbs in this story. We used these as a starting point for a lesson on adjectives.
We had a fun morning two Fridays ago. We grouped our children and got them to brain storm as many adjectives to describe objects from the story as they could. Each child then wrote their words on a large piece of paper to display at the back of the classroom. Now we have a wonderful selection of adjectives to help with sentence construction.
