Pizza and leaning towers!

On Thursday Megan and I organised a treat for our classes, it was SO successful and a wonderful way to finish off our time in Italy!

We organised with Kiaras parents to walk across to their shop in the morning to make our own pizzas. We were shown the cold room where all the ingredients are stored and the big machine where the dough is mixed. We watched as the pizza bases were prepared for us and them the fun part began. Each child could choose their topping before putting it into the pizza oven. There was great excitement as they waited for them to emerge.

The children learnt a lot and can now appreciate their pizza even more! A huge thank you must go to Mr and Mrs Bhim and their staff who were so fantastic with our children and really went out of their way to make it such a special outing.

It freezing in here!

We could not all go together so we divided our classes into two groups, whilst the one half was making pizzas the others got to make leaning towers using tooth picks and jelly tots. It was very interesting watching how each group of children tried to work out the best design, in order to create the highest tower.
